Road Stripes

by Jason Carini on May 25, 2009

Even though the city of Tulsa has a history of bad roads, they recently repainted all the stripes on both city and highway roads.  This one act has done more to beautify Tulsa than roads free of potholes.  I exaggerate a little, but the fresh paint gives Tulsa a good image.  This reminds me that the simple upkeep and maintenance of property goes a long way.

As a child, I never understood why my mom wanted the leaves picked up.  But as an adult, I can now see the beauty of well-kept property.  And a well-kept city is one where people want to live.

I know EXACTLY what you mean… like when the house is a mess but I get all the dishes done and the sink is clean and sparkly… all of a sudden it feels like I've accomplished something great. It even gives the motivation to keep going and get everything else clean too. I hope the fresh paint on the roads can do the same for Tulsa.
